Family Appeals

Divorce, separation, child custody, visitation, paternity, and support matters are difficult and confusing issues for any family to endure. Especially if these matters have brought you into Family or Supreme Court.

If you are dissatisfied with a court determination in your Family or Supreme Court matter you may have the right to appeal the decision and outcome. The appeal is the next stage in the legal process after a trial when a party believes that an error was committed by the lower court, the opposing attorney or their defense attorney at any time during the proceedings.

A party has 30 days to file their Notice of Appeal after they have been served with a copy of the judgment or Order to appealed along with a notice of its entry.
